Parents and child who are a party to the case must be represented by a lawyer while the case is in a dialogue process. A lawyer will attend with the party and assist by providing help and advice to the party. The lawyer’s role is to protect the private party’s interests. However, the lawyer will not present any arguments or question witnesses during the dialogue meeting. Legal assistance to the party during the dialogue process will be paid by the state based on the number of hours. This will be paid after each meeting.
